FLEET SAFETY SUPERINTENDENT (Based in Brunei)
Responsibilities:
- Take charge of HSE matters for vessels contracted to operate in Brunei and Labuan
- Ensure that assigned vessels comply with Company ISM, ISPS and HSE policies contained in the company’s Safety Management System
- Ensure that assigned vessels comply with charterers safety standards and policies
- Interact with charterers safety departments on all safety related matters
- Disseminate safety materials and information through shipboard briefings and inspections
- Conduct investigations and analysis for any accidents, incidents and near misses when required
- Attend to ship inspections and safety audits to ensure compliance to standards
- Plan and coordinate ISM, ISPS and ISO 14001 initial, intermediate and renewal audits and endorsement of certificates by checking with Classification Society
- Monitor the expiry dates of the above certificates and ensure that they are renewed/endorsed prior to expiry date
- Liaise with Marketing/ Operations Departments for vessels’ schedules so as to plan safety coaching
- Provide operational support as required by the Marine Operations Manager
Requirements:
- Minimum COC Class 2 and 5 years sea-going experience
- Experience handling HSE matters on Offshore vessels would be an advantage
- Willing to be based in Brunei
TECHNICAL SUPERINTENDENT (1 Brunei based & 1 Labuan based)
Responsibilities:
- Maintain vessels in safe and efficient operation, minimize downtime and ensure vessels are in excellent condition
- Plan and coordinate Statutory & Class Surveys with Classification Societies
- Monitor and maintain validity of Vessel’s Trading Certificates
- Analyze and plan technical opex budget for each vessel under your care
- Approve supplies of ships technical stores & spares, and monitor deliveries
- Close monitoring of vessel’s daily status and render all necessary technical assistance
- Monitor and ensure Planned Maintenance are being carried out on board as per the PM System
- Regular shipboard visits
Requirements:
- Minimum COC Class 2 Marine Engineer (Unlimited) or equivalent
- Relevant experience on board AHTS vessels as Chief Engineer or Technical Superintendent
- Knowledge of ship’s system, flag state and classification requirements, machinery working principles, ship repairs, ship operations and safety training
- Knowledge of Offshore Oil and Gas industry and dry docking repairs is an added advantage
- Management experience preferred
- Willing to travel
